U.S. Senators Rob Portman and Sherrod Brown appointed Mark Wagoner, an attorney with Shumaker, Loop, and Kendrick, to the Bipartisan Judiciary Advisory Commission. The Commission is tasked with identifying the best candidates to fill open seats on the federal bench in the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio.

There are currently three federal court vacancies in Ohio, two in the Southern District and one in the Northern District. The Commission will make its recommendations to Senators Portman and Brown for the current vacancies as well as other openings that may arise in the future.

Wagoner was also recently named a Life Member of the Judicial Conference for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

A former State Senator, Wagoner served in the Ohio General Assembly for eight years. While in the Ohio Senate, he was the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee and served as Majority Whip. Prior to his tenure in the Senate, Wagoner served in the Ohio House of Representatives as State Representative. ...
